Eugh. oldstyle.

But. I wanted to feel as though I'd actually finished /something/. Something that wasn't just a hastily speedpainted background with similar elements in the foreground. /I wanted to see if after several months of not actually working on a fully detailed image, if I could still accomplish something. Which I sort of did.

This is. Kind of a scene many years ahead of the current MZK490-1 timeline, with Lux chasing after his eldest child, Daniel. Reminiscent of my own childhood, and from having witnessed ~Laurenslife escaping from her bath when she was much younger. *Phantasmagora also helped inspire me to draw this one. And while based loosely on my own memories, scenes like this and other pieces that I've worked on all contain some kind of metaphorical symbolism which I never really ever go out of my way to explain. I guess would rather just see how other people interpret these things without relying on me discussing them extensively in the image description.

lol pilot spawn.

life scene no. 253 by =GearOtter "This piece contains a incredible amount of detail from colors to shadows to the books on the shelf." I also must add that the setting and dynamics really does lend itself to a typical family day. Well done! (Suggested by ~ZaranR and Featured by ^Katmomma)

NAKED, BE FREE DANIEL. Pilot spawn is the sexiest spawn. I love these familial drawing scenes you do. I don't have enough brains to interpret metaphors right now though sorry ):

Perhaps if he was having some sort of kinky censor sex, or wanted to have his newest sex victim guess his size? ._o - Myx

I believe in Optimus Prime as my savior. If you do too and aren't scared to admit it, copy and paste this in your sig

Just. Allow me to babble.

This image is amazing. The soft lighting is faithfully used though the intire image, lending a sence of realism to your drawing.

The little details are amazing. The wet spots on Lux's pants, the man in the suit on the newspaper, the toys, the various books on the bookshelves, even the lighting on the glass of, what I assume is, orange juice. They all lend another element to the believability of he pic.

I'm no art critic, or anything. I just like the image.

+fave and bravo for you, Lux.

The detail in this is amazing. The only thing I would suggest is maybe harder shading since the light is so direct. Or maybe I just like dramatic lighting too much xD

Did I ever tell you the story about cowboys and midgets?
:iconoroku:
This is magnificent X3

I love all the detail you put into the picture.
:iconweepinangel:
Great detail!

Daniel has Lux's large melon and is only a third Lux's size.

YAY I'm sooooo glad you finished this piece! I always loved the liveliness of the scene when you sketched it but having it completed makes it just that much better. Awesome!
